oh cool you can make a contest for that :3
who ever joins and gets in the most members wins the place of becoming a Contributor to that group
each member that joins by one of the contests must write or comment the group that they have joined this group thanks to :icon "someone":
example "i join this group because of :iconrayray18:"
thats an easy way to gain members and it would be a fun thing to hold for a new group :3
